Ergonomic to the core, the Aeron is designed to fit a wide range of body types thanks to the extensive research designers Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick conducted nearly 30 years ago. It was a groundbreaking launch in the office furniture world. And the chair still is, thanks to new research and innovation in materials technology, including the inclusion of ocean-sourced plastic on the body of the chair. We've always known that the Aeron is good for our bodies, but now it's also good for the environment.
Growing
Aeron's durability and innovation have continued since its introduction nearly 30 years ago. The chair proved groundbreaking in both ergonomics and material innovation, without the standard use of foam, fabric or leather found in most office chairs at the time. The Aeron is more than 50 percent recycled material, and now we've added ocean-recovered plastic, removing more than 150 tons of plastic from the ecosystem each year.
A more inclusive chair
The Aeron's three sizes (A, B and C) are specifically designed to fit a wide range of body types. Most ergonomic chairs are suitable for people between the 5th and 95th percentile, but we believe an even wider range of people deserve a chair that fits them well: from the height of the back to the width of the seat, the movement mechanism and even the size of the chassis. There is a suitable Aeron for almost everyone, from the first to the 99th percentile.
